We regularly cater across Hertfordshire, Essex, Kent and The Cotswolds. We are happy to travel further afield for larger events and weddings — please enquire and we will confirm availability and any travel considerations.

What is the minimum number of guests?

Our minimum booking is 6 guests. This allows us to deliver the level of detail and finish that defines a Top Knot Chef experience.

What is the maximum number of guests?

We comfortably cater for up to approximately 100 guests depending on the format, venue and kitchen facilities available.

Can you accommodate dietary requirements and allergies?

Accepted Answer

Dietary requirements and allergies are taken seriously. Amy personally lives with a nut allergy, so the importance of clear communication, careful planning and understanding each guest's needs is very close to the team. Please provide full details before your event so James and Amy can discuss what can safely and practically be accommodated. Although every reasonable precaution is taken, food is prepared in environments where allergens may be present, so a completely allergen-free environment cannot be guaranteed.

Do you provide crockery and cutlery?

We can provide a limited amount of crockery and cutlery, depending on the size and requirements of your event. For larger bookings or more specific tableware requirements, we also work with a trusted hire company. James and Amy will discuss what is needed with you as part of the planning process.

How does the booking process work?

You enquire with your date, location and guest numbers. We then arrange a consultation to understand the occasion, design a bespoke menu proposal, confirm your quotation and secure the date. Closer to the event we finalise timings, dietaries and service details.

Question 7

What does private dining include?

We arrive with everything required to cook and serve in your home or venue, prepare each course fresh, serve your guests, and leave the kitchen exactly as we found it. Additional front of house service can be arranged for larger parties.

Yes. From intimate board dinners and client entertaining to launch events and team celebrations, we build menus and service formats around your objectives and schedule.

How is pricing determined?

Every event is bespoke, so pricing is by quotation only. Cost is shaped by menu, guest numbers, service style, location and staffing. We are transparent about everything before you commit.
